Cheap wedding favors under 1.00 do they exist? Well this is the question I had when I went out to find our wedding favors.  The weddings I attended growing up seemed to have the same favor,  small little picture frames that also act as  a table number holder. Well I guess that is pretty practical and it does make sense.  What I was looking for is something a little more original, something that really represents us.

When looking around think about quantity! You will notice a lot of the search engines will show a very low price and you get to the website and that is for a larger quantity than advertised. When you go to a listing you will see that they give discounts on how much you buy. That makes sense doesn’t it? This way they don’t have to pay the cost of labor opening up the case and figuring out mixed lots.  So when you are planning think in qtys of 24, 48 96. This will help you bring down the cost! We prefer the -oh! this is cool approach, give them the price for 1 and SURPRISE, you buy a larger quantity you get a big discount! Don’t forget the big deception – many places will show a low favor cost and than kill you on the shipping.

Think food! What I have noticed is there is a popular trend of food related favors. That is a good way to look for cheap wedding favors under 1.00 . For example how about a  Cookie Cutter . They come in lovely boxes with a bow.  I don’t know about you, but I would never throw away a cute shaped cookie cutter it will probably remain in my drawer for the rest of my life!

Continuing my search for cheap wedding favors under 1.00 I thought about books. Everyone likes to read right? Well everyone I do does. So I thought how about a BookMark ? Bookmarks are also an excellent idea.  They come in so many different shapes and designs. Yo can find them in the same kind of boxed style that I mentioned before.  They are made of cut metal so they don’t usually run to be very expensive at all.  The ones that have heavy tops do not fit my criteria for cheap wedding favors under 1.00 but the cut metal shapes do very nicely.

Well if your curious which favor I went with. Well, drum roll please… I did not go with a wedding favor under a dollar. Truth be told, I really decided I wanted to give something that matched me and the wifey’s personality and we decided that our budget could stretch just a bit more. We were having a destination wedding and had less then 50 people.  So we went for this cute Dolphin Bottle Stopper .  We love the ocean, and dolphins. It has a glass top and worked out just wonderfully! Just remember, inexpensive is great for the budget, but in the end it may be on the cheaper looking side- you be the judge of what you choose to represent your taste and budget!
